RE: Advice on upgrading to 3.71m33
First if you have spare MS ,make the ultimate pandora [hint = http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=85842 Hint over]

search for files pack , and once you do the MS stick for all PSP users is must have NAnd Backup , of any working state of your PSP , in your case 3.52 M33-4.

1. Ms stick pandora
2. make service mode battery ( keep AC adapter close)
3. boot with it , and make nand backup - remember for PSP = you need 34 Mb free on MS
for Slim = you need 66 Mb free
4. PLACE THE BACKUP IN SAFE PLACE
5. Connect AC without the battery and power on , then put the baterry and convert it back to normal
6. after that don't worry and go for 3.71 M33-3

RE: Advice on upgrading to 3.71m33
I'm still on 3.52 mahself, still looking for a reason to update.  Updated a friend to 3.71 the other day, the ptf themes were meh compared to what I'm used to.

With 3.71-3, that's taken care of the bricking by flashing themes, right?  And with 1.5 kernal...  DAMMIT!!!  I forgot about Family Guy, it's almost over!!!  FOOK!

Anyway, with 1.5 kernal mode, there's not really anything you loose by upping, right?  Just some sweet themes that haven't been converted yet.

RE: Advice on upgrading to 3.71m33
3.7x is more of a hassle to recover from though.  You have to downgrade to 1.50 - reflashing isn't an option, unlike the other 3.xx custom firmwares.

Not sure if it's me, but I did get an odd bug with 3.71 M33-2 replacing opening_plugin.prx with a corrupt one.  Even after restoring the original opening_plugin.prx, the PSP refused the boot up correctly...  Have no idea why that happened (I corrupted a few other PRXs fine), so I wouldn't take it much.  It's just a little more of a hassle to downgrade back to 1.50 then go back up again (unless you use Pandora).

RE: Advice on upgrading to 3.71m33
it's recommended that you use a PRO DUO memory stick or whatever it's called.
