Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

I finally got my hands on crysis (demo), and it's awesome!!
Still need a better graphics card (got: 'Nvidia GForce Go 7600' on my laptop, wich is not bad), but the game still looks great at some lower graphics!

And because I know that all of you think iam lying: (Because of all the website saying the 'beta' demo's are fake)

The Crysis MP Beta isn't fake but I don't like the way they have had to segregate the DX10 players from the DX9 players.

DX10 : can play on DX9 or 10 servers, DX10 servers have advanced physics enabled (ability to knock down trees, punch jeep's off the road, etc) and have the shiny direct lighting

DX9 : can only play on the base servers, no advanced physics at all.

Now they can say that it's a technical issue (and to some degree there right, it is easier to compute physics though DX10) but they could have implemented quite alot of the advanced physics in DX9 mode easily with the help of Havok for example.

It's just Crytec either being lazy or stuck right up Microsoft's arse.

yeah great! and as Uncertain God said. . . even though they are making a DX9 version it still won't be as good and fun unless its on DX10

Playing it DX9 just feels like a pretty FPS with a few cool idea's. DX10 mode does indeed rock though.

(Yes I did install vista ultimate just to play this, and I shall be removing it in a couple of days)
