Flashed background issue
By now, I'm sure many of you have run across Undertaxxx's and Darkstone's latest theme, the Large Original icons:
I downloaded the pack, and included are a couple of wallpapers. I like the black and white one, the one with the curved lines at the bottom, but I like having the waves on my psp, so I resized the background into a 420 x 238 background and flashed it, but wound up losing a few icons to white squares. Same thing happened when I sized it to 300 x 170, the old wallpaper standby. Are the icons just too big to allow this? Anyone have an idea on getting this to work?

RE: Flashed background issue
I tend to get the wallpaper smaller. In fact, for me, I have never got anything larger than 256x145 to work without white icons... >_>

RE: Flashed background issue
Yeah, 256 does seem to be the magic number, but it starts to get too distorted. Here's what I don't get, the background is actually smaller in size than the one you're supposed to be using, 43kb as opposed to 72. Why does that make a difference? Or is it the actual pixel size that's doing it?

RE: Flashed background issue
PSP loads the background into memory, not necessarily the entire file (or it could load 12 backgrounds into memory).
Actually 256×145×3 = 108.75KB so it's larger.
Basically, yeah pixel count.
