3.51 system_plugin_fg.rco and sysconf_plugin.rco
i need someone who has installed m33 3.51 firmware and has custom versions of sysconf_plugin.rco and system_plugin_fg.rco to try and go into usb mode via the xmb - mines freezes when i use edited versions of these 2 files.
also if anyone has same firmware installed and is using the eboot xmb loader let me know if yours works (with the latest update) because mines crashes when i try to run stuff. i think it may be another edited rco causing the issue but i need to be sure.

My PSP's USB mode works and I have every hack imaginable lol

Do you mean XMB recovery eboot? If so, haven't tried it so don't know.

RE: 3.51 system_plugin_fg.rco and sysconf_plugin.rco
no there was a file which was a prx wich you could use to replace xmb items, like instead of running location free tv it would load the prx which would then load homebrew.
i have since read through the forum and found my question about the 2 files has been answered - theres no fix for it atm. don you have edited versions of those files but do you have the latest m33 update? its a combination of the updates and the customisation files i think. its very strange i may have to redo those 2 files. o well no biggie.

About the RCOs, are you using the latest 3.51 RCOs?

There is a thread with decompressed versions somewhere around here.

RE: 3.51 system_plugin_fg.rco and sysconf_plugin.rco
As far as I know, resursslunkski or whatever it is doesn't appear to compress rcos. (Only seems to deflate) Sure, it deflates them, but once I compressed it again and tried to drop it in RCOedit as a test, it said I had a deflated 2.60 topmenu and asked me to convert. Aside from that, if you deflate and then customize, you won't have to recompress anyway. 3.40 OE M33 both read the deflated topmenus.

RE: 3.51 system_plugin_fg.rco and sysconf_plugin.rco
yeah anubis i found the program to convert them to 3.51 compatability and that did it for me. all rco edits i used before are now working pretty much 100% except for the xmb loader.
however i think more of the prx's have problems because i just discovered the web browser crashes when i go to a favorite or when i type an address into the address bar. ill have to take my time and go through em all one by one. :/

also anyone have an idea which rco might be affecting the browser this way? itll take me ages to find out the exact one (or ones :s)

1. It does compress them
2. RCO editor can't handle compressed RCOs
3. Recompression is for saving space. Some RCOs can get very large
4. All firmwares can handle decompressed/recompressed RCOs and decrypted/encrypted PRXs.

The RCO editor by Zinga is universal.

As long as the RCO are decompressed, RCO editor should be able to handle them.
