Finally the demo is out on JPN PSN ( can't wait for the full version XD )

release date is November 10th, 2011 and retails at 5,229 yen. The game will be region-free and should play on any PSP. Amazon Japan has the pre-order up for 4,272 yen. PlayAsia has the game up for $59.90 USD.

Looks pretty much like the second one, just with more stuff.

very true since it is the improvement of the 2nd game + added new stuff

the title of this part was supposedly be Project Diva 2.5 but was later on changed to Project Diva Extend

I guess they want to make it seem more like a new game rather than DLC.
PD2 pretty much had everything I believe. PD1 had some annoying niggles here and there, but PD2 seems to have fixed most of that.

I was sold when I saw the Sonic costume, I hadn't played either of the games before so I suppose if I get this then I'll be caught up right? Or would it be better to try to buy the first one before this comes out?

There's no story or anything, so not necessary IMO.
2nd one is better than the 1st anyway. I expect this one to be very similar to the 2nd.
