RE: Review This System
Motherboard probably too expensive
RAM probably too expensive
Don't need the thermal compound - if you really want it, get something cheaper
Way overpowered PSU (430W more than enough; if you plan to Xfire as suggested by the mobo, 650-700W should be plenty)

RE: Review This System
Well I just wanted to make sure I had everything
it's suppose to be a really good system, because my parents want to give it to me as my last gift from home for graduation...

They said it's the last pc they will ever buy for me so I should make it a good one

Expensive ≠ good.  It's about spreading your value appropriately.

430W probably a little low for running a 6-core CPU and a powerful GPU, especially if you want to overclock.

So how much are they willing to pay?

RE: Review This System
-$100-150 on the motherboard
-$15 for the cooling compound (can always get later if you really need it)
-$50 for cheaper 8GB RAM

i5 2500K + decent branded 450-550W PSU (probably around $40-80 cheaper than your combo)

Total savings around $250
Buy a 128GB Crucial M4 SSD with that.

If he's using a custom cooler, he may need it if the cooler doesn't come with it's own.

But that being said, you chose one of the most expensive thermal compounds out there.  I don't really think there's too much difference between them (like OMG 1 degree cooler!!!).

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6822136284
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6822136533

an alternative also :
samsing spinpoint f3 1tb @ 64.99 usd
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6822152185

650-750 PSU is more than enough for this .. unless your going to crossfire it

overall.. looks good :)

*the haf932 is popular for watercooling setups.. if you plan on wc'ing later... i suggest a cheaper cpu cooler for the meantime
