I wonder if the current PSP hacks will mean anything with that.
Also interesting that the PSP2 uses a different CPU architecture, so would it be emulating the PSP1?

I wonder if this means signed homebrew out-of-box

I heard the new PS3 update blocks signed homebrew. Which is odd because how would all the stuff that's officially signed run then?

Note that I only heard this and cannot confirm if it's true.
I heard it on PSP-hacks but here's a place I found when I decided to look into it.

They change the keys, but the new ones are very easy to get for the hackers.

KaKaRoToKS Wrote:Just got home, found the application keys while on the bus, now also pushed to github.com/kakaroto/ps3keys enjoy! :)

For the PSP2, I think they might use a 'converter' which would sign/encrypt the PSP1 games to work with the PSP2. So if the game is not known by Sony like a emulator, it will not get signed.

On a mass Produced scale it's not that much. Most games shouldn't be more then 4GB and the few games that will use more can, no more 2 disk sets.

I could be wrong. But isn't there other storage media for the PSP2 anyway?
