Weird psp issue
So im having a weird psp problem that started a week or so ago but i haven't been able to fix yet.

My new-ish psp slim won't see other psps when going to play and adhoc game. It searchs and sits there blinking but won't find anything.

Ive tried hosting but psps can't seem to see me and ive tried looking for games other psps are hosting but I can see them. Ive tried with my other psp 1000 and my friends psp and they can connect and see each other fine so its just my psp slim with the problem.

Its weird because it can't be a hardware problem as I can still connect and go on the internet/playstation store etc

Also when preparing for an adhoc game it does the whole "Connecting to channel automatic" etc and if you turn off the wifi you lose the connection.

It also can't be a firmware problem as ive tried going to 5.00m33 5.50GEN and 6.30 OFW with the same result

I have also tried changing the channels under network settings but still nothing.

Im really at my wits end as I don't know what the fuck is up and it really makes no sense why its not working.

Any ideas ep? has anyone heard of this happening before?

tl:dr psp wifi isn't working properly for adhoc

RE: Weird psp issue
The only thing I can think of, is make sure the game version are all the same.... like US ...EUR..... ECT.  when trying adhoc...... EASY way to find out if this is the problem go to the xmb then game sharing ..... and have your friend send you the game.

RE: Weird psp issue
I had a similar problem with mine, couldn't host a game over the adhoc, psp kept freezing on me.
Found out it had something to do with my mac address being messed up. I used the "fix MAC address" option with the pandora battery, it fixed itself lol
Might give it a try if nothing else works for you

RE: Weird psp issue
mac address issue, if u got pandora and mms, try to fix it by fixing the mac address on nand operations,  try all of the options on it, (dump nand to see if u got bad blocks) tried it many times and it worked for me 90%..... try it out

RE: Weird psp issue
710 bad blocks..... That's nothing.

I just dumped my NAND and got 3445 bad blocks..... How is that even possible? Facepalm
