Ya, there are a lot of videos out there of walkthroughs. There are apparently multiple answers for different situations.

I finished it with like -128 lives before.
The end of the 3rd level is the hardest.

I think there's a sequel, but I haven't looked into it.

Now that you mention it, I think there is.
A quick google search with the keywords "syobon action 2" and you might find a download for it
