UPDATE: Yep I fixed it for good, 6% battery loss in 17 hours, that included:

- 30-40min of MP3 listening
- checking Cydia for updates
- taking a photo
- watching 5-6 Anime openings on Youtube
- rest was idle time

I really don't think iphone is worth that much money I personally would never pay to much for a cell phone when I have a PSP my brother bought an iphone 3g but I think it was a total wast of money I have a nokia n78 and all I do with it is call and change the wallpaper once every year ! but I us my psp all the time ! and the worst about iphone is that you can't even open it up like other cell phones to change the battery. why build it in such a stupid way when they know someone would still jailbreak them even without opening the phone!

I've never needed to take out the battery of my iPhone... ever.

I have a smartphone to specifically stop me from having loads of devices on me all the time.

It's my:

sat nav
phone
iPod
Internet
boredom buster on the go
camera

people talk about having what i need in a phone, and what isn't necessary.

but if i can get unnecessary features in my phone i don't have to get specific devices just for these "unnecessary" features.

stops me from

wasting pocket space and forgetting certain things.

it's all a matter of, would you pay that much for the devices that would equal an iPhone or any other top-of-the-range Smartphone. yes, you would... because you wouldnt buy them all at once.

or you can just wait, save up and get everything you want wrapped up in one great package that just slips into your pocket.

Smartphones these days shouldnt be boiled down to just 'a phone', resulting in "i'd never pay that much for a phone".

they're more like portable multimedia computers now... that can phone people as its primary function.

me, all i need when i go out somewhere for the day is my phone, headphones, my wallet and my keys.

for example:

dock my iphone to my dashboard in the car, use it to navigate me with tomtom app... when i get there, unhook it and use it as an mp3 player.
i get a call, i don't even need to take it out my pocket to answer it.
need to search for a local restaurant while walking, just open up the browser and look, find the address, type it in in maps and it guides me again.

£600 iPhone (unlocked, + £10 p/m unltd. internet + 300 texts)

without one it'd be

use sat nav to guide me (£100), have to put sat nav in bag and take with me to prevent it from being 'borrowed'.
use mp3 player, barely fitting in my right pocket with my keys and wallet. (£150)
phone call, pause music, take out headphones, get phone out of pocket. (decent phone ~£150)
need to search for restaurant, not in car so cannot use sat nav. need internet connection, use a laptop with 3G card... (£250 netbook + £10 p/m internet)

£650 + £10 p/m internet subscription

in short, i would muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch rather pay for an iPhone than to go through that.
