suggestion for a tablet
Well I've been working with Photoshop for a while now and I'm really felling the need for a tablet but I've never worked with a tablet before so I don't really know what to buy. I searched a bit and I've seen that the Wacom tablet's are mostly suggested as the best but they are a bit too expensive, though if they are really much better I would pay for them anyway.

I still remember the world from the eyes of a child, Slowly those feelings where clouded by what I know now, Where has my heart gone? An uneven trade for the real world...

Intuos or Bamboo? Bamboo is relatively cheap.

Bamboo is the entry level one. The intuos is more for pro's and experienced artists.
I've had a genius before, though I liked it because it was cheap it wasn't that good and wasn't very pressure sensitive.

As I said, you get what you pay for and at the time all I needed was a genius.

I had this discussion with an artist over here... Genius and other cheap and/or "local" makes of tablets are absolutely no problem, so long as its restricted to less intensive work such as Digital signing etc.

As for Bamboo and Intuos, think of Bamboo as a entry-level bike and intuos as more expensive sportsbikes and sportsters.... Still neither of them compare to a Cintiq... That is like a....

However, if you are tight on budget, you can try buying one so that at least you get used to using a tablet. Moreover, when you upgrade to a Wacom, then you'll really be able to understand why they are what used everywhere.

DON'T BUY A GENIUS!!!
I have a genius tablet and 9 times out of 10 the driver is fucked
pressure sensitivity fails and the pen sticks when you hold it a certain way.
I've heard people have no problems with xp and stuff but with vista 64 bit and just vista in general people have had tons of problems with these tablets.
I have a mousepen 8x6 and I bought it for 50$ so I can't really complain, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I was looking at something like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TUY...cinteq21ux
I think I saw it somewhere for 200 dollars and you can always go a size smaller for cheaper if you don't need that much space

My dream is this http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-CINTIQ-DTK21...426&sr=8-1
absolutely amazing :D

and if not then at the very least I want something like this http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-Cintiq-12WX-...426&sr=8-3

but those last two are tablet monitors not just tablets, meaning you see what's on the screen on the tablet as you are drawing.

RE: suggestion for a tablet
well I want a tablet for drawing and painting manga and stuff like that and I think if I manage to convince my mum and dad to buy me one it would have to be one that stay's with me for a long time and since you all said I think that genius would be a wast of money. So I think I'll go with the Intuos 3 though I don't think I can afford any more than the 4x6 size. does the size really matter does it cause any problems or make it harder for me to draw if I buy a smaller size tablet?

I couldn't even dream of a Cintiq that would cost about $3000 here!! if you could even find one!
