Yay, classic start menu for Windows 7! (+ other classic explorer stuff
I've always hated the fact that Windows 7 forces the Vista style start menu, but I just found this nice app which works quite well:

http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/

If anyone is interested, it also brings back a few other features of older versions of Windows to Vista/7, though I use Directory Opus as my file manager so I don't actually need the other stuff.

haha! Timing! I was finding a way to get rid of that screen...

Does this work when the PC is locked?  or does it show the gay vista lockscreen?

Keep going. Ruin windows 7 D:

Why would you want this? Why the classical start menu. It's horrible looking. Besides, I think you're able to mod the start menu so it's still sleek but got the old layout.

What screen?
Ctrl+Alt+Del?
Or Win+L?

The new start menu seems heavily focused on search, something which doesn't suit me or really work well for me.  I run most of my apps via the Run dialog.  Unfortunately, the new start menu makes anything apart from using search a keyboard pain, often requiring multiple tab presses etc.

Now I can go back to sleeping the PC with Win, S, Enter (as opposed to Win, Tab, Tab, Tab, Right, S).
