Emulating Mario Bros Wii at 1080p
I haven't tried this yet, but just happened to see this article.

Apparently someone used the Dolphin NGC/Wii emulator running the new SMB at 1080p, or something-a-rather.

- uses latest SVN build
- system used to emulate is a C2D E8400 OC'd to 3.8GHz, 4GB RAM and a GTX260 GPU
- with above system, runs at constant 60fps

Personally have never tried the Wii emulator, neither can I quite imagine how it would work on the PC, but posting this if anyone's interested in trying.

Yeah Wii emulation is looking pretty good at the moment. Muramasa can also run with a consistent and smooth framerate as well.

Looking at the games, the wii wasn't that much of an improvement over the Game Cube.
Well, looks like there's no graphical problems, except that every thing is not shiny, no light bloom in other words. And the coins and ? blocks aren't spinning.

Also how does wiimote motion emulate anyway?

I'm playing it too on 1080p with Dolphin. Except from some missing shades and coin problems it looks waaay better then on my Wii and plays without problems^^ If you have a bluetooth dongle you can even connect your real Wiimote, that's what I do. However you can also map various roll and pitch settings to a gamepad to simulate a Wiimote.

I use it quite well to play some old GC games. Playing the Wii part is quite simple too. The Wii Mote (actually the Wii itself too) uses BlueTooth as it's type of signal and receiver. So if you have a BlueTooth module or something installed on your PC, you can configure a program called Glove Pie to make the module accept the Wii Mote's address.

I used to use on as a mouse on Linux. :P

Setting a Wii Mote up with Dolphin is so much easier though.

ATI RADEON HD4850 512mb
Win7 32bit

Runs smooth with 60fps except from some rare occasions like some snow levels but it never falls under a playable level^^
