Okay, I'm in Japanese 1, and for my final project, wee have to do something related to a children's story that wee read. I decided to make a flash animation continuing the story, but I'm fresh out of ideas, and I was wondering if you guys could help me come up with ideas. I want the story to be twisted and funny, but it has to be appropriate for school.

there was once a grandma and grandpa. Grandma made grandpa a riceball. grandpa went to the mountain to cut trees. In the afternoon, grandpa got hungry and decided to eat his riceball, but it rolled away and into a hole. a mouse came out holding the riceball, thanked him, and took him to the mice kingdom. In the mouse kingdom, grandpa sees a bunch of mice making mochi and they break out into song singing about how they didn't want to hear the cat's voice.

Stupid, eh? Wee had the option to either finish translating the remaining pages, or extend the story ourselves, and then put it into some form of media. I chose flash. Did that help?

Anyways, maybe make it somewhat like Tom & Jerry? Lol, that's what you tend to do when out of ideas...

Well, I wanted it to be twisted and funny, which is why I turned to you guys for help. The conversations on this site usually end up being just that. I just can't think of anything, possibly because of all the stress I have on me right now.

Lol. How about the mice serve him rice balls and wild boar, and something seems familiar
about the wild boar, something homely. In return for the favor he leads the mice against
the cats and defeats all of them, but
just at the moment of victory he feels these awful stabbing needles at his ankles
and is horrified to find himself being attacked by veracious, insane mice. Only
as he falls does he finally realize what had seemed so familiar about the stringy, slightly
undercooked meat. IT SMELT LIKE HIS WIFE'S PERFUME!!!!

EDIT: Meaning he ate his wife, lol.

Holy poo poo. I think that's a little too twisted and not enough funny, but there were some good ideas in there. Any other ideas? Rep points for anyone who helps me out.
