Well since I didn't get back into college this year and now have to wait until May 2010 to resit my exams and then commence 3rd year in September 2010 I was wondering what to do with my year! I registered with the irish unemployment agency (FÁS) last week and today signed up for a 10 week online Java course they are doing starting from next Monday.
It says 10 weeks but you go at whatever pace you want so I recon I can get it done in 5 or less. Then there are loads of other "10 week" courses that I can do such at flash, photoshop and various web development courses. At the end of each one I get a cert of some kind (not really sure what but it is approved or valid or whatever). I hope to get a few of these done just to fill in the time and have something to do as well as to fill in my CV and make it look pretty!
So I am going to get as many of these done as I can as they are free for me before I have to start studying for my repeat exams. Then after my 4 years of games development I will have a CV full of little illegitimate qualification lol!
Sounds like a plan??!!??

I am pretty sure anyone in Ireland can do it, it is done by a company in Dublin and you have to go through FÁS to get it as far as I know.
