Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

While typing in posts (etc), often you find the use for Bold, Italics, Underline etc..... HTML tags in general.. (they are called HTML tags, I assume)

How do you use them? By clicking on the concerned Icon to fill in the HTML for you, or type it out on the go?

Well in posts, its BBcode, not HTML that defines it, but i generally type them as i go, mostly out of habit, and partly because i use quick reply

One thing i have seen on a different forum (not MyBB though) was a function wherby CTRL + I/B/U etc could be used to trigger the appropriate effect, which was fairly useful

All pretty much the same for me, I as well just type as I go, seems faster & yes on VB forums, it's cool CTRL+B will give you bold, & ect...I also use that when browsing other foums,...

Seems I rarely use the toolbar bbcode buttons, plus it is missing some of the best ones :

i type 'em out, because i use quickreply, if i wanted to do a fullreply everytime just to use the buttons, it wouldnt be very quick, would it?

Like everyone else I just type them out on the go. What does [xlink] do though? Never seen that before.

Yeah type 'em out. On vB forums, I disable the fancy editor cause it takes way too long to load, and [b] doesn't take a whole lot longer than Ctrl+B.

i don't ever use the Ctrl combos. i only ever use the buttons unless i don't know the code, of if it makes it a lot easier (linking a site and displaying the name as something else comes to mind)
