Well... Crap (PS3 issues)
Well poo poo, I was just playing Sonic unleashed when suddenly the screen goes all messed up and the PS3 turns it's self off.

When I turn it on, it makes all these beeps and then the green light goes a weirdish yellow color and turns it's self off.

Well poo poo I think I might have the YLOD.
What should I do

Sadist

-EDIT-

Err, Nevermind I was in a spoon panic attack, well what I did was I turned off (from the little switch at the back) the PS3 and unplugged it's power, left it for a while plugged it back in, turned it on (from the little switch at the back) turned it on, as in the thing you touch to turn it one and it was working again.

But I'll leave this open to how does one get a YLOD?

RE: Well... Crap (PS3 issues)
i had the same problem.... mine would turn on, do a series of beeps, that i know is a code, and turn off.... since i could not find a guide for the codes (mine beeped once when first turned on then twice really fast right beofre turning off).. so by process of elimination i figured out it was the HDD.. so i plugged it into an external enclosure, formatted it to raw and put it back into the ps3 and its worked fine since... i bleive mine was corrupt but then i honestly can't tell for sure

Well, It happened again. I'm have this feeling there's a problem with my Sonic Unleashed CD. I might consider getting it replaced if this keeps happening.

Hopefully I'll be able to fix the problem again.

Edit: Fixed it again, now I should go see If I can get a replacement for Sonic Unleashed CD.
I'm pretty sure it's the CD's problem because it's only ever happened with Sonic Unleashed.

Hmm, maybe it's not the CD that's the problem?

EDIT: Removed the update (good thing I didn't buy any DLC) and haven't been experiencing any abnormalities so far.

Ahh.. poo poo, even after I deleted the update it still wants to goes crazy screened, strangely it only does it for the Chun nan and Holoska stages.

EDIT: Maybe it's the PS3 it's self that's the problem, I mean it happened in the PS3's XMB before (although that was while the Sonic Unleashed Disk was still inserted into it)

How long have you had it? The old 60GBs had a 90mm chip so they have a tendancy to break quicker. You might have to give Sony a ring for them to replace it.

I thought that would be the problem, I had it over a year and I think someone else used it before me seeing as that's what the seller told me.
