Need help, RE: Usb front and back port with PSP
I am able to transfer mp3 files(well, music) to the PSP but unable to transfer any .cso/.iso games. Tried transferring the 500.pbp file that is required to upgrade to 5.00m33 but unable to do so too. The error shown was unable to copy. Please make sure there is specified file or something.

But then i found out the real problem.

I could transfer ANYTHING when i used the usb port at the back of my CPU where all the power cords, the power switch where the | and 0 is, where internet line goes to and etc. I just can't transfer using the 2 usb port which is at the front where the reset and on/off switch button is and.. before anyone gonna said its spoilt, its not. I could use other devices at the front. I tried on my friend's computer and it does not have any problem whatsoever.

Anyone knows why? In the past when i have my fat psp, i do not have this problem.

Anyone advise? Thank you

Not enough power to the front ports is also a possibility, though somewhat unlikely since the PSP isn't powered off USB.

But let me get this straight:
- with the front USB ports, you can transfer MP3s, but not PBPs/ISOs etc
- with the back USB ports, you can transfer anything
Is that right?

What happens if you rename an MP3 to .iso?  What about .iso » .mp3?

Sometimes mp3 don't get through too. Its like, anything that is big in memory size can't get through, that's about it.

Thanks for the reply, but still doesn't solve my problem :(

By the way, im using the 2-in-1 cable where you could charge your psp and transfer at the same time.

I was thinking about power issue as well....go into device manager and make sure all devices have enough power

id be first looking at a different cable then if that was a no go id uninstall the driver for the front usb and let windows reinstall.
