Tried my hand at taking on Ozma today for practice. Eh... seems like a pansy to me. Only real scary attack was Curse with its frightening status conditions. I died after its second use mid way through.

This was without doing the friendly animals quest though. Wouldn't make much difference though since all it does is prevent Doomsday from healing him and make me actual able to whack him with normal attacks (Which only Zidane would use)... yay... ==;

playing it recently in my psp, and now im in disc 4, and in about 55 hrs of gametime, im still searching for the legendary Excalubur II that you will only get if you reached the game time after 99+ hrs, and the clock reset, thinking if the myth is true, lol, finished all chocographs, and leveling up my characters, lol

I thought it was reaching the final boss in under 12 hours for EII....ie, not doable on PSP due to lack of FMV skip

some says there are two ways to get the excalubur II, one is by reaching the final boss lair under 12hrs, skipping some fmv, leveling exp, etc, or by when the clock resets to 0 hrs, (you should see the clock is red by that time) ive seen it in youtube so ill try it to confirm, lol, if your clock reach above 12hrs when the timer is red, well a bad luck, repeat again from the start, lol

Its been proven that getting 99+ hours in fact does not work. You'll need to beat the game in under 12 hours. This is generally the main reason I don't bother with Steiner (Also because his best attack, Shock is very MP expensive). I personally find Amarant and Freya to be better fighters. Amarant has amazing buff spells plus cna hit pretty hard. Freya has Cherry Blossom and Dragon Crest. The former being extremely powerful until you get Crest. The latter able to do 9999 damage with such small MP cost. Reis Wind is pretty nice too.

Takes forever to build up though. You only need to kill 30 or so dragons to do max damage with Dragon Crest whereas Thievery you need 'borrow' like 1000 times @_@

yeah and i manage to have 9999 damage for thievery in my psp save

and yeas ive search to the excalubur II faq and the overflow on the time to get excalubur II is possible

Yes it is, as supposed by Terence and proven by SoftReset. The timer will
change in color every 100 hours, but eventually it will "overflow" and the
time will start from 00:00:00 once again, as if you just began a new game.
Once this happends, go to the Excalibur II spot and pick it up before another
12 hours expire.

However, it apparently takes 2 years, 98 days, 12 hours, 6 minutes and 28.26
seconds of real time for the timer to restart. Your console might not survive
that long, and you'll probably want to play other games during those 2+ years.
In the end, I think it would be ridiculous to actually wait for this to occur.
And sad.
