Converting mkv files
So, converting mkv files to burn to dvd, I read a thread where Zingy mentioned a program he uses, can't remember what it was.  Anyone have a favorite for this?

From my knowledge, Zinga doesn't use any frontends/GUIs. He uses x264 (or XviD) though the command line. So if you want his method, it would be:  demux subtitle stream out of MKV (with mkvextract) » use vsfilter to hardsub (write avs, *source(),textsub()) » encode .avs with encoder.

But I would suggest you don't attempt to do that unless you have a good idea of what you're doing, and use a frontend/GUI indead. XviD4PSP is supposedly pretty good for that kind of stuff, I've heard good things about Handbrake also.
