Is this a good laptop to get?
Really long url so click here

I don't know whether I should get this or not....

Budget: £300-400 (preferably close to 300)

I'd like good enough specs...

e.g

2gb RAM
High processor speed
at least 2mb cache
don't really care about the hard drive cause I have an external one.

I suppose this one looks ok:

EDIT: By the way, yes, yes I am cheap.

Do you care about size and battery life more than processing power?

RE: Is this a good laptop to get?
wow that sucks
my dad paid £200 for the late 2006 blackbook and i paid £25 for 2gb ram to upgrade 1gb

specs
Black
2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4MB shared L2 cache
667MHz DDR2 SDRAM 2gb
120GB Serial ATA; 5400-rpm
6x SuperDrive (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory
Built-in iSight camera; mini-DVI output port with support for DVI, VGA, S-video, and composite video

13.3-inch (diagonal) glossy TFT widescreen display, 1280 by 800 resolution
One FireWire 400 port (8 watts)

Two USB 2.0 ports (up to 480 Mbps)
Built-in stereo speakers, built-in omnidirectional microphone, combined optical digital audio input/audio line in, combined optical digital audio output/headphone out

Built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T (Gigabit)

Built-in 54-Mbps AirPort Extreme wireless networking (802.11g standard; 802.11n capable
bluetooth built in

i know the graphics sucks but it can play WoW :D

my advise get a preowned mackbook prefereably late 2007 early 2008 as they come with
Intel GMA X3100 graphics processor using 144 MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared by main memory

2.0 GHz or 2.2 GHz
Intel Core 2 Duo (T7300/T7500)

2.1 GHz or 2.4 GHz
Intel Core 2 Duo (T8100/T8300)

2.4ghz being a blackbook and 2.2ghz being a blackbook

I'd really like a good graphics card though :/ are they replaceable?

Also where did your dad get it?

EDIT: I have to admit the macs always have it right when it comes to style.

if you can extend your budget indefinitely (like 2k), then a XPS M1730 will entice you a lot..
