XMBC Question
I just fixed my Xbox and I was wondering if you could burn XBMC to a CD/DVD and then copy it to the Xbox hdd via the file explorer.. I don't need to edit the bios file since the BIOS allows for that in its menu. (Just need to change xbmc.xbe to have first boot priority, and map XBMC to a trigger)
Just wondering if anybody knows if this really works.

RE: XMBC Question
I think you can do that, havent done it like that tho.
Why don't you connect your xbox to your pc, its easier to copy stuff like that.

RE: XMBC Question
Don't have a crossover cable or a router in which I could do that.

RE: XMBC Question
if you've got a patch cable making a crossover cable is easy. cut it in half strip the wires and re-join them as follows:
simply join the ends that the table tells you to join. preferably with solder if you can, then insulate each individual wire with insulating tape and then insulate it overall.
if you don't feel comfortable with doing this or just don't have the skills or equipment try it with a normal patch cable. a lot of computer NIC's can detect what type of cable and connection is used and will adapt its pinouts so it will work. if the worst coms to worst you can pick up crossover cables for peanuts on ebay...

RE: XMBC Question
Yeah, that's how made mine easy.
I got a "patch cable" for $9, it would have cost me $30 for a crossover cable.
