What does everyone think of the new album? Better? Worse?

Personally, I think it's both better and worse than Silent Alarm and Weekend in the City.

Actually haven't listened to it yet, although i liked The previous two albums, but only a few songs on each.

Stylistically, it's sort of a mix of the two. It has the darker, harder feel of Weekend in the City, with more of Silent Alarm's personality. Mercury, the first single, resembles The Prayer in it's overall tone.

I've listened to Mercury a few times, like it a lot.

I've booked the album listening.. some time next year.

j/k, if you know me, you know I'm a metalhead, and you should know a lot of metal will keep me occupied

I actually thought the same thing

Its not quite either of the albums, but its not different from them either

Its ok, it works at times, and fails at others, but i think its a good style to go with

Yeah. I also think the new electronic sound they've worked into the new songs is mostly for the better.

Like I said, Mercury sounded a bit like The Prayer, but....bigger. Like there were more layers to it, what with the drum kit, techno bass, bongos, 2 trumpet lines, and the vocals, each added in one by one until the final chorus, where all of them were there at once.
