Is it possible to downgrade a Metallic Blue psp?

PSP-1000, TA-086, 3.03 and Downgrading
Does anyone have any info on this? Im considering buying a blue PSP but then I have to be able to downgrade it safely though, as far as I know the FW version is 3.03 and the motherboard is a TA-086.

EDIT: You only have to worry about the TA-082, TA-086 and up are all fine.
