Okay, now that I have that out of my system...how the heck do you make preview icons for PTFs? I've had them in previous themes, but they are absolutely nothing like what they should look like. I really want a decent icon for the 4.01 version of heartbeat and no matter what I do, its all fudgeed up.

I've used CS3 and make it a 256 colors indexed PNG and I've tried PNGforPTF and it just won't look right. CS3 makes it all jumbled up and PNGforPTF makes it missing chunks of the icon. This is the last thing I have to do before releasing all my conversions.

well my thumbnails don't use transparency so I would just use mspaint. Save it as a 256 bmp and save it as a png.

or use fireworks

save as flattend png
png 8
web adaptive
256 colours
and with alpha transparency

I'll try those settings in CS3. ^_^ I don't have Fireworks.

EDIT: Also, does anyone know how to make main icon text black?

there's no offset for it vegetano ha been trying to do it with no success the only way I know how to do it is using photoshop and adding the text that's about it.

lol he already finished the theme with the ctfs sometimes wee got to use paint.

I never have any problems with mine turning as a broken icon or missing parts unless I use the PNGforPTF so I deleted that program...I just use CS3 & select save for web & devices & save it as PNG8bit (or whatever it is just not 24 or it won't work) & I only do this if it has transparency in it otherwise I simply use paint...
