Power cuts have been endemic in Albania for many years.

The authorities usually blame drought and the dilapidated state of the communist-era grid, which appears to be buckling under the strain of the extra demand caused by the Albanians' recent access to modern amenities.

Lol, funny how it caused a 72 hour blackout.

My physics teacher told me a story like that. He was working at BYU here in Utah, and aside from being a student, he also had a job doing various repairs and stuff. Well, one day they had a school-wide blackout, and they sent a bunch of people to check it out. My teacher went into the main power junction area and investigated. He saw that one of the humongous 4 ft wide cables was stripped of it's covering, and it was exposed. He also found a small pile of cat hair under the wire. He decided to go ask his boss, a science professor. The boss explained that based on the evidence, a stray cat probably wandered onto the exposed wire, and was immediately "plasma-fied"

Anyway, this is funny. Who knew a cat and mouse could cause 72-hour blackouts lol.
