Ok, My town also has a few homeless people.  And my friends and I also see this one guys named Art, he's a crazy war vet that's always walking around town.  Well anywayz.. One day last year my firends and I were going to this party one night and wee seen Art on the way.  Wee stopped and talked to him and told him wee were going to a party tonight and asked Art if he wanted to come.  He was pumped!  Wee took him my buddys house got him a shower, some food, a new shirt and pants and wee were off to the party!.  Wee got there and everybody knew Art, none the less he was a hugh party hit!  Art got soo drunk that night, and he told us that wee really had a good time and that nobody has ever done something that nice for him.  When you do nice things for other, it makes you feel good inside.

No joke, that's a true story/.

i stayed in a homeless shelter in california once, and damn they fed the spoon out of us with some really awesome stuff

the real issue when it comes to homeless people is the crazies who need medical attention, schizophrenics and whatnot, theyre dangerous... don't know how they could be practically helped though, who would fund the help they need, and then it makes sense to me that 90% of those receiving meds would turn around and sell them for some food, or smoke, or whatever.

and as far as government help for the homeless, why not just start helping the homeless yourself? there are plenty of organizations out there you could contribute to if you wanted to help feed them, find clothes for them, etc.

i think the only stories about homeless people i have are pretty... negative...
