As you already know, or are soon going to find out, MyPlaza was reset, and everyone's E-Pigs count was put back to zero, and all previouly owned items were lost. The level of gain for E-Pigs for various tasks has also been reduced.

It was I who put forward the idea and requested for change and I write this because I thought I should explain my intentions behind this move, and take responsibility for it, because it will effact almost all of you (So u guys can blame me). Although I did make a small comment about a complete reset in a reply to another person's post, it was however, not my original intention, as outlined in the original post, http://endlessparadigm.com/forum/showthr...03&page=1, for everything to be completely reset. I had wanted the previous E-Pigs count to be scaled as to balance out the wealth a bit (in other words, reduced). I assume that the decision of reseting it would be due to the difficulty in introducing said scaling factor, or some other reason of Zinga's own which i do not know (So don't completely blame me).

I recognise that some people have worked hard to earn their previous E-Pigs, and have now lost them all. And i offer my appologies (Even to the people who have cheated. It takes effort to cheat too). This move have probably made me hugely unpopular among many of the members here. Before you hate me too much, know that I myself had lost somewhere around 15,000 E-pigs too. I wasn't poor in terms of E-Pigs and this was not for my own gain. Zinga, who actually carried out the change, was one of the richest members on the site. This was not for his personal gain either.

There were a few reasons for wanting the change, and they are as follows:

1. Inbalanced Income vs Expenses Ratio. Income was extremely high compared to expenses. This results in the accumilation of E-Pigs and no way to spend it all, which in tern, reduces the Value of E-Pigs and the items bought with E-Pigs.
2. Cheated Wealth. As some of you already know, the previous richest members of EP got to this degree of wealth by using an exploit which gave them a lot of E-Pigs extremely quickly. And then the extremely high interest rate did the rest. This is unfair to the wider community of EP, especially to the poorer members. These rich members could waste money at will, and use their cheated E-Pigs to aquire favours and other gain from less fortunate members.


Now that the reset has already be done, I doubt anything can be done to restore the original status, even if wee all wished it. So please not not repeatedly ask for your E-Pigs back.

Wee now all stand on equal ground, with nothing. Let us now all start again from the start. Without cheaters, so your wealth is all attributed to your own hard work, and so noone is going to be 100 times richer than you for doing nothing. And without a screwed up economy, so money and items actually mean something.

hibby, Squee, UG and Ge64 are the one's i currently know that did serious cheating. Ge64 bought the sun with the cheated money, and Zinga broke his sun. lol.

Zinga would've tried it too.

And others have done minor cheating.
