Err, no, it's MichaelP.  Ain't seen ya on in a bit, kiddo, how ya been?

ANd chalk the following question to mah having know knowledge of the slim whatsoever, but the 1.5 kernal add-on does not work for it, right?  The slim still cannot support it?  This is the first time I've thought about it.

that's nice and all.. but i wish wee could get current kernal support instead of relying on 1.50.. actually running 1.50 on a slim is pointless except as a POC... i can't wait to see what he actually does with it....   all i want someone to make is a wireless finder program so i can war drive with my psp and 'borrow' umm.. i mean borrow wifi

RE: Install 3.90M33 and 1.50 kernel add-on
Running 1.50 on the slim is a POC for testing 1.50 kernel brew mainly. 1.50 is not useless by any means, its the only firmware that has kernel mode (yeah 1.00/b). This is the main point of DC3/4 needing a 1.50 subset. All 3.XX brew is user mode, for 3.XX kernel mode you need to load all the kernel calls via a external PRX.

Now that Sony keeps changing the NIDs, and more so completely randomizing then, makes it very hard to find them, if not imposable. If the slim could run a kind of 1.5 kernel the NIDs for brew would never need updating thus making the brew never needing an update for newer firmware versions and keeping legacy.
