The Goblin proves to be quite handy with his knife, however.  One minute it's right there, glimmering faintly in the darkness under your nose... and the next moment, it would seem to be located somewhere deep inside your person.  The last thought that crosses your mind as you sink slowly to your knees has something to do with the impossibility of washing bloodstains out of long underwear...
