Okay so for starters i have two guitars, Fender's, a white Squier Strat, and a black Squier Strat. I bought the black one for 230$ @ Guitar Center in San Marcos. The second one i got from a friend who found it in the apartment he moved into. I'm not a patient person so i never learned much, mostly because I never really picked it up to try. Recently i tried to sell both of them on craigslist.org, i got some phony-donkey offers like some guy that's gonna send his horses to pick it up after its shipped to his province in Canada... I clearly posted that the items posted are for local pickup & cash only, so i got a whole bunch of stupid offers like the one above. i kinda give up because my next option is to sell them at a pawn shop or back to guitar center, and neither are gonna give me a fair sum of money. So I decided to keep them and try to learn again, i have come across some problems with learning, and that is that i always want to learn Über-hard riffs or solos like: Source: YouTube
so as you can see I'm pretty ambitious. The first part is to learn the basics so that's what I'm gonna do. But the problem is my guitars don't sound the way I want them to sound, something a technician can easily fix. I have no idea where to find a guitar tech around my area, its almost as if they don't exist, the other option is to get myself a nicer guitar and a nicer amp. I want to get a Epiphone Les Paul, they run at about 300-500$ that is around the same price range as a PS3, I want both :P but i prolly won't manage both for awhile and I have to choose one because MGO & MGS4 are coming out soon. What do you guys think I should do?

Are you daft, boy?! THIS IS METAL GEAR SOLID 4 WEE'RE TALKING ABOUT!!! I say you get a PS3 with UT3 right now, then reserve MGS4. MGO is gonna come with MGS4 in starter-pack form, and it can probably be turned into the full game through online downloads. Basically, just get a PS3, dammit.
Also, it seems like you live pretty close to where I used to live. I used to go to that Guitar Center all the time. My house was about a 15-minute drive up I-15, counting stoplights and such.
lol yeah i member shady you said you worked in sd painting right?
and metal gear you said you lived in san marcos too one time, cool
anyways i was gonna go with metal gear since its pretty much my life next to doing nothing :he:
