Well, I was originally planning to keep using Free Hostia after gettting a domain, and upgrading the plan (I'm running low on MySQL space), but it seems that there's some really cheap alternative web hosts.
I believe IncadudeF uses this one: http://order.1and1.com/

^ $3/month with domains.

(Free Hostia upgrade is $2/month; domain is $9/year, but the upgrade is nowhere near as good as the plan mentioned above)


Though I'm also trying to make sure the host I go with doesn't have crappy servers or load times.
Basically, I'm looking for:

• Domain registration included
  
• I'm on 10MB MySQL - the larger the better, obviously, but I'd prefer at least 30MB
  
• Webspace not important - 50MB is more than enough for me, but if I get a lot of webspace, I can allow users to have larger attachments :P
  
• Traffic a little more important - I'm on 5GB right now, which is good enough; again, the more the better
  
• Of course, all the PHP/SQL stuff

Yeah, I'm a n00b at this stuff (this is my first ever website) so any help would be greatly appreciated :)

The one incadude uses seems pretty good.

The only other webhost I can think of is byethost.com

I'm probably a little worried (some rate it a "1" others a "10") due the wide range of opinions.

I have no idea how reliable IncadudeF's is though.  Yeah, I'll stick with that for now as it offers more than Byethost and see how well it goes.  Thanks a lot |-Anubis-| !

Tripod?  I dunno - it's always had a bad reputation if you ask me (it's free hosting sucks).

I'll check dasme's site.  My main concern is the quality of the host - it's easy to find cheap ones, but...

try shorturl.com. i think its free and i used to be in a gunbound clan which had forums in shorturl.

shorturl.com is a subdomain redirection service.  I think they also have domain registration, but not really a webhost.  Thanks for trying anyways :P

Betterwebspace.com is what I used, 1pound per month has good uptime too.
