I walk into another realm altogether... another anime...

I watched the first 2 episodes of Chobits last night, and was surprised.

Primarily, its REALLY funny! REEAALLY funny! Theres this guy, working on a farm, gets a letter - he's been rejected from Collage and goes of to study properly for it, Destination Tokyo. And he has a couple of incidents which really funny which I won't give away to people who haven't seen it..

Later on, he is in his room, and he really wants one of these Persocoms, the ultimate computer, in a Human Looking Form. His neighbor has a 'Mobile' one so he is wanting one more and more, the problem is, its around 500,000 yen, way too expensive.

Hes going home that night, only to find a dead girl thrown into the trash!












Just kidding, he realized its a Persocom, chucked out... he decides it must be OK to take it home as, well, he found it in the trash..

As he gets home, after a moment of consideration, he figures out how to turn it on (which I also won't give away) and it comes alive, and in a cute voice, says "Chi!"

Well, that's how things got started!

In Ep 2, he finds out that she could be a real Urban Legend called a "Chobit" special Persocoms which have the ability of Free Will.. yet she has no Operating System at all, so she shouldn't be moving, but she is... so something is obviously odd.

(Oh look, I started calling Chii a she (looks around) never mind)

She gets called Chii.. and the story (I'm guessing) will go on from there. :yes:

I didn't really like the beginning.  But it gets way better later :P

i saw one clip once i don't even remember which anime it was but it was really stupid
a boy and a girl were told that there was something wrong and it was a naked guy who scared ppl by showing his ** to ppl and stuff, and (as in all anime/manga i beleive) it was showed as an elephant... but then eventually the boy ended up naked too and the guy couldnt scare him any more and was defeated or something

whaat ever is what i thought :P rofl. but ok ill check out chobits then :P 0.7TB free space for the win

Lol, Chobits is one of my favourites.  Don't get turned off by the first few eps though :P

There's many other I like.

One thing about anime is that people classify it as one genre.  In reality, there's a broad range of genres and types, just like movies.

The manga has quite a good amount of eroge in the beginning. Probably to make up for how boring it is
