If I seem like I'm rambling, it's because I'm really happy right now. Today, I talked to the drama teacher at my school, and despite the fact that I have no formal experience with it, I got on stage crew!! I talked with him about how I got inspired to do it after my friend talked about how she helped put together the set for the last play and I saw the play. Even though I have no formal school stage crew experience, he liked the fact that my mom is a recording artist and so I can learn a bit my messing with her sound equipment. Basically, I've wasted 3 of my 4 years of high school sliding on by, and even though it's a bit late, I'm finally doing something worthwhile

Mind you, I'm not actually in drama, I'm in stage crew for the drama team. I build the sets and do lighting; hands on stuff. It's more my type of thing and I'm glad the teacher okayed me.
