i updated my psp to 3.71 m33 and by mistake i forgot to change the GAME folder to 3.52 homebrew.

now psp starts but freezes at game xmb menu.
tried the recovery option but instead of downgrading it restarts the psp and same freeze.

is thr any other option :(

Try to use pandora version3 , this way you can install 3.71 M33-2 directly.

why don't you jus t go to the recovery menu and connect to your usb through the recovery and change it there?

and can this pandora thing be done without access to game xmb.

In recovery option you have option to Toggle USB and rename the folder if you think that this is problem.

are you using custom theme?
if so was it made for 3.71
or was it just the one you used to have on your psp
if so that will make your psp crash and freeze

you need 3.71 m33-2 or 3 to flash custom themes or else you will end up with what you got

i wouldnt recommend renaming anything in the flash until you know you have a serious problem. if this problem is caused by damaged keys you may make things worse.

firstly a small note, if you didnt change your game folder to 3.52 kernel the installer wouldnt have worked at all.

my reccomendation is get a program that can back up your psp's keys. i can't remember the name of it but without the keys you can't fix your psp. im hoping that its not the keys that are causing your problem. run the program from recovery mode. so now you backed em up i have a few suggestions.

do you have any plugins enabled? if yes disable them. see if that helps.

next install 1.5 via pandora.
if your getting crashes after installing 1.5 via pandora then you may have damaged blocks in your psp flash. another possibility is the keys may be damaged but its my understanding you cannot fix those without a backup. this is why i suggested you make one - so if it messes up it can't be any worse than it is currently.

pandora works outside the psp xmb. you insert the pandora battery and have a pandora formatted memory stick and the psp runs directly from it. if you have access to pandora then you can at least find out if you have a serious problem. it may be something more simple than what i have suggested so good luck in finding out.

reflashing 1.5 would fix all issues

and updating to 3.71 m33 wouldnt affect you psp keys
