Windows - Delayed Write Failed
Ever got this when trying to save to a USB drive?

It really pisses me off when it happens.  Basically a file becomes corrupt, and, this annoying popup won't go away...

Why Windows is even using a delayed write on removable media is a mystery to me...

RE: Windows - Delayed Write Failed
lolz, it's delayed because microsoft is trying to be late ,like always, by writing to your flash drive after you've gotten fed up and taken it out

RE: Windows - Delayed Write Failed
I know Ubuntu has delayed write.

Usually I use the "Safely Remove Hardware" option, just to make sure everything gets written safely.

RE: Windows - Delayed Write Failed
I know this is an old post, but I thought I may as well post my experience and solution of it.

I have 2 External Hard Drives [250GB & 300GB] and sometimes, because I use them so much at the same time, it causes Delayed Writing Faliures because there isn't enough bandwidth for both to work properly at the same time. [And I can forget about Defragmentation].

A CHKDSK [Scandisk] on all drives seemed to fix everything by deleting temp files.

Drives are happy now :3

RE: Windows - Delayed Write Failed
chkdisk will fix stuff if your disk becomes corrupt, but won't be able to fix problems if your files aren't being written, unfortunately...
