RE: finally got my mac mini
you think that's bad? that's nothing compared to the laptop i just got. It was built for Win98. It has a 6GB hard drive, half of which is taken up by an illegal verision of XP. It only has 128 MB RAM. Battery life of an hour and a half. 380 MHz clock speed. Pentium 3. One USB port. No internal CD drive, no internal wireless card. ONE speaker built in. speaker is on BOTTOM of laptop pointing DOWN. only has Microsoft office 2000. It can be foun on ebay in perfect condition for $30

RE: finally got my mac mini
Heya, wow looks kewl! When exactly did you order this mac? If you ordered it in October, go to pick up Mac OS X Leopard. Its the new operating system, like Vista compared to XP, it was released yesterday, and I believe anyone who ordered a mac in october that hasn't got it already can get it for free or $10 or something. Its really easy to install and the upgrade works fine unlike with Windows, so all your settings will stay.
For programs, if you want to run Windows on top of OS X without rebooting, get VMWare Fusion. Don't get Firefox, it sucks. The new Safari that comes with Leopard is good, or else Camino which is almost the same as Firefox but with less suckage.
Ill give you more tips but right now im really busy setting up triple-booting on my mac, so Ill post back later.

Well, I have an even more suckier laptop! It has a small black and white LCD. If you use it more than 10 mins the corners begin to fade worse and worse until you let it recover for a while. The battery is huge and lasts 3 minutes. Its 20mhz, has 8 MB Ram and I think less than 100mb harddrive. I have a huge docking station for it that has an extra bay for two 5.5" Floppy drives, an IDE controller for them and 2 slots for ISA expansion cards.
It runs Windows 3.11 and I once used the internet on it. Yes, this pos was connected to the internet. How? I connected a LPT PARALLEL PORT to Ethernet adapter to it! Yes! And then I installed OPERA FOR WIN3.11 on it. After hours of software and drivers and whatever I was able to load Google.com in UNDER ONE MINUTE!
