iLemming... is in dev... it will be released soon as i feel it is suicidal enuf...(^_^)  but on the iTunes note... i just keep my comp speakers at one level... and jus mess with the iTunes volume... and the internal comp vol... but don't really know why it krackles like that... think its a trans issue... comp(iTunes)>speakers...not too sure though...

hmm for now i might try going back to Winamp, or I'll just use Windows Media Player (eventhough i don't like it that much, but it gets the job done)

try using media monkey in the mean time. it has the ipod plugins, and a better album cover searcher.

did u try reinstalling it?

u should try reinstalling it first then if it still dosnt work then yeah, get mediamonkey.

Status Update
i uninstalled v7.4.1 or whatever it was and rebooted as it said to. after logging in, i installed v6. when playing a song in v6, i could turn the volume up and down with no problems :D. but then i downloaded a fresh installer from the Apple website of v7.4.3 and installed it. but when i play music it has the same probs :(:(:(:(
