iTunes 7 sound prob
as you can see i have iTunes 7.(something) but it doesn't matter because I've had this problem since upgrading to the first v7: v7.0. anyways my problem is that my music plays fine when the volume in iTunes is Max, but when i lower it even the slightest to a lower volume, the sound just crackles up and sounds sorta like static :(. I've done some searches on Google (as you would with a prob :P) but nothing works to solve the problem. some have said things like in Control Panel>Quicktime>Audio you have to change but they haven't worked.
i know some people will probably say things like "Use something else as a MP, iTunes sucks" but the thing is i like iTunes and I'm not gonna change. I've also checked in other programs like KMPlayer if it crackles and they don't, so its just iTunes. the funny thing is I've also tried playing music in Quicktime Player which Zinga says iTunes is built on, and turning the volume down on that works fine. so again its just iTunes :(.
thanks to anyone who can help :)
feel free to ask more questions to help fix it better ;)

RE: iTunes 7 sound prob
iTunes *yuck* (have you tried Media Monkey and foobar2000?)
Anyway, if you must, apparently v7 has tonnes of bugs, leading many people to stay on v6.
I would have no idea why iTunes would do that however (chocolatety volume control perhaps?)

RE: iTunes 7 sound prob
yeah one of the reasons I'm on v7 is because I'm gonna get a new 3g Nano soon and only v7 supports it :P
but i might "downgrade" to v6 and see what happens

Use Winamp plugins or something.
One reason why I don't like iTunes is that I consider it bloatware...
