I just can't wait for a PTF Maker, Sony's theme manager actually rocks!

PS : I can test it on my 3.70 Slim if you want ;)

hopefully sony's theme maker will use RLZ compression also, and maybe it can be disassembled so wee can compress rlz on pc :yipi:

R3verse engin33ring PC softw@rez? That is highly i77egal.... i don't think it's a matter of having an x86-built RLZ deflation module, its a matter of trying to do it as safely and most-lega77y possible... am i wrong?

Ya...

Dark_AleX has never been charged for reverse engineering Sony's firmwares, so, well, um, I'll just bag on that...

The real data starts at 0x100 - before that, well, it's just ASCII and null characters... >_>

....

any possibility that's the sound? (that short sound you here when you go to the next item)

There's a sound?  There doesn't appear to be any sound in any PTF file.

0x100 = 25610, and I really doubt you can stick much of a sound in 256 bytes.  Anyways, the data before 0x100 is just the name of the theme, along with some random version numbers.

The only thing that would make CFW's Against the Law is if sum one was selling CFW's
You can not profit from a copyrighted program.

& since sony GIVES there updates in a free file form they can only press charges on sum one
selling CFW's for a profit.

The only way they can stop the CFW development is 1 of 2 ways
#1 charge the psp users for there updates like Windows dose
Or
#2 stop giving there updates in i file download

but i rely don't think that would rely stop the psp moding just slow it down a lot

Actually, they can't do either.

And the 2nd point really means nothing...

Lolololol, I just saw this: http://pspupdates.qj.net/PTF-Converter-c...aid/103383

I thought the guy just edited and recompiled my source, but, after doing a binary compare, it seems that he only just hex edited two messages :P
Haven't checked the EBOOT, but I suspect it's Z33's tool - probably with an edited SFO and images.

Oh, and QJ fails for being a few weeks late.

Hehe, it's interesting to watch people who try 'borrow' your stuff :P
