The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Blu-ray Complete BOX [Limited Edition] will be available for 36000yen ($450) and no news on a standard version. This will be "including all 28 episodes of the TV series rearranged in chronological order. Also includes two event footage of "The Extravaganza of Haruhi Suzumiya" and "The Symphony of Haruhi Suzumiya" and more bonus video footage." It will (surprisingsly) have both Japanese and English audio tracks - however it won't be 5.1 - it'll be stereo instead. It will be released on the 26th of November.

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya [Limited Edition] [Blu-ray] will be going for 9000yen ($106) and the standard version [Blu-ray] for 8000yen and they will be landing on the 18th of December - just in time for Christmas.

The limited edition "includes a bonus video featuring footages of location hunting, BGM recording, press conference, edit works, "Yasashi Bokyaku" music video making-of. Also includes jacket illustration slide tray with clear sleeve, description shit with postcard and movie brochure. The Blu-ray edition also includes script." It has a 5.1 surround audio track in Japanese only.

If you're wondering about English Subtitles - don't count on it because Bandai Visual have already licensed both of them - but don't take my word for it, anything is possible!

[frame]The official website for the anime adaptations of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya-chan (Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yūutsu) and Nyorōn Churuya-san parody manga has announced that their first episodes will begin streaming on February 13 at "about 10:00 p.m." Japan time. Puyo has drawn The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya-chan manga as the "official gag manga" of Nagaru Tanigawa and Noizi Ito's The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya light novels for both Monthly Shonen Ace and The Sneaker magazines from Kadokawa Shoten since July 2007. Kadokawa's Monthly Comp Ace magazine has been serializing Eretto's Nyorōn Churuya-san manga about a super-deformed version of the Haruhi character Tsuruya since last November.

The Kadokawa Channel on Google's YouTube video-sharing service will distribute the shorts online. Subsequent episodes will premiere every week — subject "to the whim of the SOS Brigade Leader."

Instead of announcement of the airing date, the official site released a viral video showing a live-action Haruhi re-enacting the Tanabata story. There's nothing wrong with the viral video but I was personally hoping for something more and it feels slightly disappointing that all wee got is just a viral video. In the end, wee still have no idea when the second season will start. For those who want to see the video, Nico Douga has it for download. Joining is not difficult, but unless you have premium account, your access is limited between 2AM to 7PM (Japan time). There's also a copy at Tokyo Toshokan. Another option is watching the streaming video that pKjd posted on his site, Moetron. Personally, I'd recommend watching the streaming first to see if you want to download it or not. I got bored watching halfway through the video and fast forwarded right through the end to see if there's any kind of announcement. There isn't.
