a new era of xmb customizing
Thanks to Zingaburga's RCO Editor 1.12 wee have entered (again) into a new era of XMB customizing *overexaggerate* ;p

Some people may already saw my thread over at ... QJ (...)

So this is what I've found out so far [for the topmenu_plugin.rco (xmenu) but it should be valid for the other RCOs which contain MIGs too]
1. Horizontal position. 0=center, minus=left
2. Vertical Position, 0=center, minus=down
3. Zoom
4. Strength of Red Colour Channel (0 to 1; doesn't affect xmenu)
5. Strength of Green Colour Channel (0 to 1; doesn't affect xmenu)
6. Strength of Blue Colour Channel (0 to 1; doesn't affect xmenu)
7. Strength of Alpha Colour Channel (0 to 1; doesn't affect xmenu)

8. Width    \ draws a
9. Height   / white boxed cursor

10. ?

11. Stretches icon including text in width \ stable
12. Stretches icon including text in height / even if entered somewhere

13. Zooms in/out the main icons as a whole. Also stable, doesn't include the text though

14. ?

In the hex values
15. ?
16. ?
17. Tells how many main menu icons there are! 7 seems to be the only one which doesn't freeze the PSP besides the default 6. « very interesting!
18. ?
19. Action command for X button. 64=enter
20. ?
21. Action command for Triangle Button. 1C=option menu
More info

Some other examples

Zooooom:

Reach for the sky:

Volume bar up high, battery icon down low ;>

Note, for XMB positions, they reset after accessing any submenu.  Info on a possible fix here

edit: god my english ...

Edit by |-Anubis-|: Cleaned up some of your English. (its not that bad)
Edit by ZiNgA BuRgA: just adding some more info :P

RE: a new era of xmb customizing
Nice finds.

I knew someone would start to make discoveries like this with the RCO editor.

I wonder if the topmenu can be modified enough to be 3.10 compatiable. (maybe if you use a topmenu with "7" entered into the 17th point....)
I tried it and it doesn't seem to work...

Hehe, same here - I'm too lazy to investigate it myself, so I thought I'd release it and get other people to do it for me :P

Great work bstronga!  I'll probably categorize them in the next version to make things easier :)  Thanks a lot!

I think it's probably an inserted page resource...  I don't really know how to insert page resources yet (I could probably insert image resources).
The main reason is that there's a "pointer section", but it seems to have no logical order.  If you open the "Random Data" dialog, the list shown there is the unordered list.  The order of this "unordered" list is important however - changing the order can cause the PSP to freeze Erk

RE: a new era of xmb customizing
I believe that two positions would be stored?  Not at home so can't check it out.

I'd assume that the the position would be stored in the other page resources in topmenu?
