New Build and phone
Gonna give my other build to my grandma, her current PC is really crappy... and loud...poor grandmama :(
i5 3570k 230~
CX600 PSU 60~
Using my 7700 from old build which has an APU so grandma should be fine right?~
ASUS Z77 Motherboard 135~
mushkin 4gb RAM from old build~
R4 Fractal ~got it on sale for 80
Undecided OS ARRR MATEYS!
Thoughts? Turns out I hardly game at all on my PC so I don't really need a powerful GPU. But I do like having the option to upgrade which is why I'm not going with the Trinity build. =p
Win 8 or stay with 7? Nevermind forgot how spoon it was, sticking with 7.
Also new phone. 100 dollars on contract with Tmobile. It's not for everyone that's for sure but it's way better than my evo 3d. I kinda wanted to wait for the Q10 though. Fuck that phone is so sexy...

RE: New Build and phone
ASUS Z77 motherboards kinda suck unless you're willing to pay >$200. I'd grab an Asrock or Gigabyte.
7770 GPU?
600W could be toned down if you wish. 400W would be plenty, depending on how much you want to upgrade.
Lucky grandma.

Ah yea 7770 GPU~
Yeah the sabertooth ones are like pretty pricey
I was thinking about the ASRock as well...would this one be good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6813157301
A recommended motherboard would be nice... :3c

I think I'll stick with the 600W, it's not much and I "might" upgrade maybe sorta~

RE: New Build and phone
The CPU and MoBo are a good combo. Should be able to clock the CPU to a stable 4.4GHz with no work.
I would recommend a bump to 8GB just because of how cheap RAM is.

RE: New Build and phone
H77 = no overclocking, you'd want Z77.
Hard to give a recommendation because I have no idea what you might want to do - IMO motherboards are the hardest to recommend because they actually provide a lot of system functionality in one thing, and you have to consider stuff like features, overclockability and upgradeability.
I got an Asrock Z77 Extreme4 - it's a solid motherboard, but somewhat more of a mid-range board. Perhaps try the Extreme4M or Pro3/4 variants for something cheaper. Gigabyte's Z77 D3H & variants should be fine too.
Yeah, I'd upgrade to at least 8GB if going for a i5 3570K - after all, it's almost one of the best CPUs around.

:-/
I disagree with the "very informative post" part, my posts are anything but informative, so I stopped reading there...
