There are literally 3 different people I know who have named their daughter Genesis within the last year.
I totally don't understand why anyone would name their child that. Seems really retarded to me.
That's what I asked but one of them was like
"hurr durr is my kid I name them I wants!"

RE: Genesis.
IMO, one should be more creative with names. The world has enough Johns and Marys.
So, how does it feel to about to be a dad and start a family?

RE: Genesis.
pretty crazy, but a revelation at the same time.
I'm working hard with development work for my degree as well, so it's been a lot for me to take everything in with work and this at the same time. I bought "Dad's Guide to Pregnancy for Dummies" to help me along and it's pretty good.
Our first scan is tomorrow, I think that will be when it hits me the hardest. Overall, I just can't wait to be a dad. Unlike many people I have an incredibly positive opinion of fatherhood because my dad's awesome. It's going to change my life, but I think I'm ready for it. I only want to do this with one person, and she's who I'm becoming a family with, so my dream's coming true.
I want to be a provider, and I'm working hard.
And if you're curious, if it's a boy, Rhys. If it's a girl, Maia.

D-d-d-d-damn!
That's impressive Proper! I may not know you but, your story has really got me motivated to push on with my life as well.
Good luck! You've got an attitude that I'd never expect to see from someone your age. What's even cooler is that you'll still be quite young when your children mature, I always thought that'd be a cool prospect.
Always keep a cool head! Kids seem to become a handful at 3-4ish (I had to deal with my sisters kids)

Well, a kid is a burden both financially and emotionally, so you're really in for a lot considering your situation. Kudos for that for sure. But with your attitude, I've got no doubt that you'll be fine :)

RE: Genesis.
Woa spoon man, congrats.
This was planned? Cause i think you're only my age in the the most humble of my opinion I still consider myself to young for parenthood. I don't think i have enough life experience etc
I wish you more than the best, may everything work out. Knowing you already I do think you'll make a great father anyway. The kid is lucky to have you.
