Really, that's bad enginnering.  Graphics cards should be tested so stuff like that doesn't happen.
Should doesn't mean they are.  It's why power viruses exist.
In the end, it's the end user which loses out if this occurs...

Thus if they are not, then it's time to take up your warranty and remember to not buy from that manufacturer again in the future.

And I noticed your links refers to CPUs...  I think all modern CPUs these days can take 100% load even under prolonged durations.  Even if they can't, pretty much all motherboards these days have safety features to shut the CPU down if it's overheating.  Maybe in the past?    EDIT:  maybe for laptop CPUs that have shitty cooling.

Finished it on normal.  Failed a few times on the last mission - only succeeded by stacking heaps of bunkers, flame turrets and Psi Disrupters.  Lol I suck.

Try it on the hardest settings.

I think my method for beating it on hard could work on that...

RE: Starcraft 2 7/27/10
I got a copy of the game (on special for AU$50, good considering RRP is AU$90).  So I think I can access both SEA and US servers.

Who else has a copy now?

God damn, spammers are getting better.  They even have avatars now.

Well, I didn't really notice it because it isn't really advertising anything.  I mean, no links in the post, and no sigs either....

RE: Starcraft 2 7/27/10
Playing through the campaign again on brutal difficulty.
Could only beat the last Protoss mission if I didn't bother defending the archive.  Required 2500 kills, and the enemies are definitely harder - managed to pull off 2568.

Interestingly for the 2nd Protoss mission, I ended up doing something similar to what Hellgiver did; I think it's the only strategy that really works.  Except I went Immortal Zealot, then later got more Stalkers.  Expand to the left base only and let the hybrid/Protoss kill off your main whilst you head down to the bottom.
Can't really just build cannons behind the bridge because the Protoss forces will roll into your base.

RE: Starcraft 2 7/27/10
i beat it in brutal when launched, can't remember the story anymore, not that i care. i still play it, and many more years to come, 1v1 ranked match a lot.

got to the Heart of the Swarm multiplayer beta, most new units needs balancing, so don't think it will release anytime soon.

nothing.
