updating custom firmware
I ahvent really used my PSP for a while and wanted to update it. Its currently on 5.50 GEN D2 and i want to update it to the current version. Can i just update or do i need to downgrade or anything? Thanks

I would use Pandora to return to OFW to avoid problems, then update.

Nah don't even worry about using a pandora. chocolates to old school. If your on GEN as you say then you will have no problem updating to ME from it. The ME installer has no problem updating from GEN.

I updated from 5.50 GEN to 6.39 ME with no problems.

Either way is fine.
