I was browsing on Amazon and found this. I get it, Angry Birds is a fun iPhone game, but how did wee get to this point? National Geographic presents a book about space based on an iPhone game based on another iPhone game. Wow.

Angry Birds is not just an "iPhone game" anymore.  You can pretty much play it on anything that plays games.  I think that's one of the reasons why it became big.  It's kind of unavoidable.

I kind of liked the game.  It is a good way to kill some time, lol.  I guess that's another reason why it's big.

Garbage for casuals.

The top 10 was kinda surprising but at the same time it wasn't. But yeah the entire list is poo poo.

Turns out that 3 of the 4 angry birds games are on the top 5 of arcade.

Probably the entire concept of the games and the arcade nature of it makes people want to buy and play it

I never understood how this game was fun. You fling a variety of birds with abilities at pigs. Woo...It's just a rehash that got monetized by boners.

yeah that's going kind of far... this is what happens when games are introduced to the masses

Good for Rovio, I guess. Bad for those people making an Angry Birds movie that'll be released three years later, when Unhappy Aves is all the rage.
