Time for some tetris sPa/\/\ :D

In lieu of a grand introduction (and closing) to my post, I wanted to get straight to the point.

I've been looking over assembly programming (contrary to what I've already been told) and I find it a lot of fun. Though I obviously am not the one with great experience in the subject, it has given me the ability to somewhat understand wee've seen exploits on the psp do (and other devices I assume), I feel that I need to at least poke my head in this field to further understand hacking and all those cool little tricks (and understanding your computer better of course!).

Yeah, life goes on and other little interesting tidbits in my life I come across. Like when studying, if I'm not understanding an explanation, I seek out a different one (AND YOU WUDDA THOUGHT I FIGURED THIS OUT YEEEEAS AGO). It seems to work well, though times get difficult when I'm trying to find an answer to a question but that question breeds other questions and THAT QUESTION MAKES...okay you get the picture.

It's annoying as hell to know that that I don't know enough to understand something and backtracking to find that information leading up to the subject is such a pain in the donkey.

Though I guess the number one rule to studying is to always be in a good mood, that way nothing can be daunting or frustrating, I find that to be frustrated I usually need to concentrate on it, which takes away from my concentration of understanding a subject. I don't know about you guys, but when I'm in a good mood I'm not particularly thinking about anything and I usually find that I can fill up that blank concentration on other, more useful things.

I agree! That's why I never studied. Never ever ever. I didn't do my homework in school either. I was always in a bad mood when I thought about it and I rarely did it.

Sounds about right. You just get on with the task at hand without second thought.

Really depends on what happens in your life. I flopped a Math exam today (damn, no calculator) and for my math lesson, I was in a bad mood. I was reluctant to do any work, despite almost finishing an exercise.

What I find strange is that I am constantly pestered (more like bullied) about the "Hentai" problem I mentioned somewhere else in EP and I strangely stay in a good mood, unless I get a ratty detention for something I didn't do or the lesson's boring (History? Pah!).

If you are as old as your profile says you are, then that sucks, kids in highschool love to pay attention to their peers.

I know that this advice is usually hard to work with, but just ignore the ones who try to make it a big deal. Also, don't do the "accept" clause because the usual comeback to that is to ramp up the obscenity until the person cannot accept such a ridiculous statement.

If the worst they can do is verbally assault you then this should be cake (but usually in highschool there's physical bullying, which I guess you usually can't do anything about because of the spoon laws that disallows the public school to do anything about).

Protip: If you show that you're having fun with it, people won't bother.

Be like Squall and say "whatever" to everything, should work. Of course, this is my opinion, I don't deal with this stuff any more (and I usually didn't need to because I applied to higher level classes in highschool where bullies usually didn't go into :P ).

It's mostly verbal abuse. Physical abuse I get sometimes but it isn't as bad as the verbal abuse. Wee, not that I do it, throw around racial abuse and go mental just to get the crowd.

Well, I'm not telling you to fight back, but when things get physical, show backbone, and when knocked down, don't run, always get back up, and intimidate your opponent. Last year I had a group of bastards who eventually got physical, and when doing all that, they left me alone forever (although, I got a bloody nose 500 times, and probably a black eye 3-4 times) I think that the main thing that earned their respect was that I never told a teacher who it was, all I said was that it wasn't an accident, and there was a moment where I saw a portion of the group being harassed, and stood up for them a bit.

Don't let them push you around, they will make you their bitch

dark_mirage, it's all about attention. People do stupid things, and sometimes they either bully or act tough, for attention. I say give them no attention and then, it'll stop. It may take a while but as my classmate says:

"It took a while, but I learned to ignore them"

P.S: It'll only work on some people. There is an ANNOYING kid I know in my class who will try and grab attention no matter what.

Fighting back generally doesn't work if it's like a majority against you. Being soft to the bullies may work in cliche shows, but I wouldn't bet on it IRL. Can be made to be successful though - my advice would be to do it when they're not in a group, that is if you happen to be with one of the guys alone. People are somewhat naturally inclined to help those that help them, and when they're away from their pack mentality, they're more susceptible to it.
Ignoring works, if you don't mind the anti-social aspect of it.

Technically, it would work for me. The system (for the students) is that the more mentally stupid you are (i.e, failing grades, messing about, pretending to be black when your white etc.), the more popular you are. I'm one of the few that hasn't got many friends but is clever.

"the guy who said that quote 2 posts back" talked to me on the bus and since it didn't contain the regulars, wee said that one of the more popular people are weak (he thought he had a concussion, when it really was a severe headache, when he hit a brick wall and claimed to have camopaint in his eyes, when he took the mick of someone else having camopaint around his eyes) and is so mentally retarded that he marches, like he's in the army, in the school more than he does in Army Cadets. Others, like a guy that wee call "Jerome", pretends to be black and there's a lot of racial bullying with "Pedro" and "Shane".

So with all these suspects of stupidity, there's a reason I adopt the ignoring method and why my class is full of douchebags.
