if you're talking about why they're using "post-" prefix.
That's the genre they're usually playing, however the main album idea isn't about it.
Only the song "The Inverse Approach" could resemble that genre.
Thus There Are Always Two has a spanish-post-apocalyptic feeling. As far as I know.

what makes a band garner the "post-" prefix?

I've come to associate it with a wierd, atmosopheric mixture between progressive rock and standard rock. Progressive rock can go anywhere but hard rock has a liveliness as well as a sense of direction - post-rock has the direction of rock but with the slower tempo and texture of bands you would find in progressive genres. On its own, I'd say its most outstanding characteristic any "post-" sub-genre is definitely its atmospherics.. a dreamy feeling, even, in songs while retaining clear structure and direction.

Compare the standard idea of rock as a genre and its sound to a prime example of post-rock such as Mogwai (here's their track White Noise) and you should get the difference pretty quickly - they define the genre nicely.

For another good example of the "post-" difference check out Isis - they are a prime example of post-metal and it sounds exactly like what you'd expect after hearing post-rock - a (very) heavy post-rock. IF you're curious, here's "In Fiction" off their Panopticon album.

In both cases, I hate to use YouTube because both songs sound much more impressive with decent quality audio, but only as an example I'll make an exception. (both are available on Spotify, though! ;D)

As for FingerNote, it's interesting that he's using the post-rock label - it's light music. Lighter than rock but certainly not pop either, perhaps "instrumental rock" fits it nicely.

Regardless of genre, I'm on the forth track now and the music is really, really good. Really nice tunes and definitely the kind of music I listen to. I want to keep tabs on him so I've liked his page!

This is some good music. I agree with Senseito as this feeling like intrumental/acoustic rock.

Doesn't feel like post-rock and I say that as someone who absolutely loves post-rock. Real nice music this is though. I will keep checking on this band.
