Firmware Differences Explanation Please
I've looked around, but nowhere seems to give me a decent explanation of the differences.

I'm on 5.00 M33-6, and I would like to know what the differences are between this CFW and others like 5.50 Gen A, B, C and D, 6.20, 6.60 etc.

If it's any help, I use my PSP1003 to:

Play my PSX backups, Play PSP ISO backups, and Emulators (SNES9x, Picodrive, GPSP and Masterboy).

So, if anyone would be kind enough to tell me some differences, I'd be most grateful. Sorry if this comes across as noobish, but I don't know a great deal on this subject.

Thanks in advance :)

RE: Firmware Differences Explanation Please
Some newer games may need newer firmware (e.g. A game needs 6.60 <something> but you're on 5.03 <something>) and it has new features (e.g. 5.00 Lacks SenseMe and the Extras option).

I'm just guessing as I recall having to update to 5.50 GEN d2 from 5.00 M33 to play a game

RE: Firmware Differences Explanation Please
Oh, I kinda see.... so it's like moving forward with Sony's OFW, but the hacking community just make it into a CFW to rival it.... sorta? I'd half guessed that part, I was mainly curious as to if there are any cool features to be gleaned from upgrading.

But given that I have no intention of playing the latest PSP ISO's - (cause I'm mainly a retro gamer) - there's no need for me to update any time soon? I have patched the odd ISO to allow playability on my firmware.

Thanks bud :)

Thanks bud :D
